Two prestigious awards for Helios

The Weiss Helios DAC has garnered significant recognition in the audiophile community, receiving a prestigious award in 2024. It was named a joint winner in the Digital Source category for Stereophile’s Product of the Year, and also was nominated for FutureAudiophile’s Gear We Love 2024 Award for Best DAC.

Stereophile Product of the Year: Digital Source Category

The Helios has been named a joint winner in the Digital Source category by Stereophile, one of the most respected publications in high-end audio. This prestigious recognition highlights the device’s outstanding digital audio capabilities and technical excellence.

Apart from the superb, measured performance, the magazine emphasizes Helios’ extraordinary clarity and its sense of involvement in the music.  According to John Atkinson of Stereophile’s review, this high-end DAC offers both accuracy and musicality – demonstrating that it’s no longer necessary to choose between the two.

FutureAudiophile: Gear We Love 2024 Award

Weiss Helios was also nominated in the Best DAC in FutureAudiophile’s 2024 Gear We Love awards category. It was so good that Jim Swantko bought it to go with his Pass Labs XP-22 preamp and CH Precision M1.1 amp.

In their review from earlier this year, they highlight the exceptional bass control, imaging, and the precise placement of instruments on the soundstage along with unique customization options, including features like vinyl emulation, a multi-band equalizer, and room EQ, which allow users to fine-tune the sound to their exact preferences.
